MacDEM is an application to view and edit digital elevation model (DEM) files.<ul><li>Merge DEM files together</li><li>Resample and crop DEMs</li><li>Display DEMs in shaded relief, with user-definable color maps</li><li>Export shaded relief images to PICT, TARGA, and TIFF formats</li><li>Export elevation data to USGS ASCII, binary, PGM (e.g. for Bryce), 16-bit Photoshop, and POV-Ray</li><li>Write World Files (.tfw)</li><li>Make contour maps</li></ul><br>Import elevation data in these formats:<ul><li>USGS ASCII DEM</li><li>SDTS DEM</li><li>National Elevation Dataset GridFloat and BIL</li><li>DTED (Level 0, 1, and 2)</li><li>GTOPO30</li><li>GLOBE</li><li>TerrainBase</li><li>Arc-ASCII-GRID</li><li>PGM</li><li>SRTM - Shuttle Radar Topography Mission</li><li>Raw ASCII</li><li>Raw Binary files</li></ul>
