Fight back against phone thieves! MobiGuard disables a lost or stolen mobile via SMS, or if the SIM card is changed. If stolen, ask your buddy to send an SMS to lock the phone instantly. If the SIM is changed, MobiGuard will reply with the thief's phone number. You can contact the finder, or turn the information over to Police to trace the SIM owner and lay charges for theft or receipt of stolen goods. Once locked, only emergency calls are allowed until you enter the unlock code. This saves you the double whammy of having to pay for expensive calls made from your stolen phone. Turn your phone into a weapon to track phone thieves, while protecting your mobile bill and phone book from abuse. Get MobiGuard and enjoy peace of mind against theft and accidental loss. How does MobiGuard work? When you first install MobiGuard, you choose a Pin and an SOS buddy. Your buddy can lock or unlock you mobile remotely by SMSing you with the Pin. Whenever the phone locks itself because the SIM card was changed, your buddy will receive an SMS with the new number that was inserted. This means that if a thief removes your SIM card and inserts their own, you have their number. Whenever the SIM card is changed, the phone requires you to enter your Pin. If you fail to enter the right Pin, the phone locks and automatically sends the new number to your buddy. While locked, the phone can accept incoming calls, but nothing else. The thief cannot make non-emergency calls, view messages or browse your phone book. This means that valuable personal or corporate information is safe from abuse, as well as your phone bill. And unlike IMEI and IMSI blocking, MobiGuard works instantly while safeguarding sensitive information on your phone. Potential Uses Learn the mobile number of a thief or the recipient of the stolen phone. Pass the number to Police when filing a report and request that they trace the identity of the owner. Have your phone require a Pin on start up.Lock your phone at any time to prevent abuse, either directly or remotely through SMS.Safeguard personal data on your mobile such as the phone book and messages. Great protection for corporate data. Install MobiGuard on a child's phone with yourself as the buddy, and switch their outgoing calls permissions from normal to emergency only and back with an SMS. MobiGuard Features Detects when the SIM card has been changed and requests the Pin. If not given within a minute, the phone is locked and the phone number sent to the buddy. Choose your own Pin of up to 15 characters and change it at any time.Settings wizard to show you how to use MobiGuard, plus help.Requires the Pin to close the application or change settings. Runs automatically on startup. While locked, the user cannot exit the Lock screen. The only options are to enter the Pin, or make an emergency call. The phone can still receive incoming calls. The Lock screen is immune to overrides like 'tasking' and re-appears automatically if the phone is restarted.
