iStake retrieves your stake and ward directories and all leadership information by connecting to LDS.org and downloading the information from your ward and stake web-site. You can update the information on your device as often as you like over WiFi or the AT&T network. iStake provides a complete leadership directory for your stake, provides a complete leadership directory for each ward in your stake, provides a complete stake member directory, and individual ward directories, see detailed contact info for each ward and stake member, provides cross-referencing of spouse, cross references member information to their callings in their ward or stake, allows you to copy specific members directly to your contacts list, supports emailing, calling, and mapping addresses directly from the contact screen, your confidential information is not stored on "third party servers", in accordance with church policy, and all communications between your phone and LDS.org are encrypted.
