DropIcon is an easy-to-use, drag & drop utility for generating custom preview icons for all of your image files. DropIcon works on a wide variety of image formats, is packed with additional features, and is the perfect addition to anyone’s desktop. DropIcon’s main features:

  • Generate Thumbnail Preview Icons. Drop an image file on DropIcon and it will automatically generate a preview icon for it. DropIcon fully supports Mac OS X’s beautiful 128x128 icons, as well as the older-style 32bit and 8bit 32x32 icons.
  • Create Finder Icon Pictures. Create a picture in a Finder window. DropIcon accomplishes this by taking an image and breaking it up into hundreds of 32x32 pixel, perfectly placed icons. Great for software developers & CD-ROM publishers!
  • Convert File Formats. DropIcon is a fantastic tool for converting image files between different formats. DropIcon can convert the more than 25 different formats it can read into five of the most popular, cross-platform image formats JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PICT, and PSD.
