Our new barcode plug-in for Adobe Indesign CS 3 will create all common linear barcodes, even the recent ISBN 13 and Code 128 GS1 codes. The plug-in is extremely easy to use, even if you are not a barcode expert.

The plugin supports all common linear barcodes:

Code EAN 8 / EAN 13
Code ISBN 10 / ISBN 13
Code UPC-A / UPC-E
Code 39, Code 39 Extended with automatic conversion
Code 128, 128 GS1 with support for all GS1 variable and fixed length identifiers
Codabar
Code 2/5 Interleaved and Industrial

The created barcode is ordinary Indesign artwork that can be edited, moved around, exported etc.

Other features:

  • Works stand-alone, no other components or barcode fonts required.
  • Support for bar width reduction to compensate for ink spread / dot gain
  • Support for EAN SC sizes with height reduction
  • Allows any font for human-readable text, even OCR
  • Automatic checksum generation / error correction with all symbologies
  • Very small footprint, only around 250 kB
  • Works with 10.4 ("Tiger"), 10.5 ("Leopard")
  • Adobe Indesign CS3 or higher
