This script will disable the Safari web browser from automatically opening "Safe" files after having been downloaded from a website. This from Secunia Advisory SA18963 http://secunia.com/advisories/18963/ NOTE: Safari must be quit before the script you downloaded, or the terminal commands are input. Alternatively, users can change Safari's behavior by: 1) Going to Safari in the menu bar -->Preferences-->General Tab--> uncheck "Open "safe" files after downloading" box 2) In Terminal type everything BETWEEN the quotes at the prompt ($) "defaults write com.apple.Safari AutoOpenSafeDownloads 0" yes, that is a zero, then hit your return key
