Psunami is famous for creating photorealistic water. The combo of simulation algorithems and the quality of the raytracer makes for product that is unmatched for producing wave effects.

What does all this mean? You can do gorgeous, photorealistic water and pull off many other 3D effects just by using the displacement and texture mapping controls.
You're not limited to above the surface shots. And, the image doesn't have to look anything like liquid. Create a desert with a texture map and frozen waves!

Take a look at our Psunami gallery for some examples of water and non-wateruses.

The plug-in contains many unique features that are not available in any other RenderWorld-based product. These include:

  • The ability to set up and render within a 2D application.
  • A greyscale mode for setup and output as a displacement map.
  • Depth of field rendering for adding additional layers into a comp.
  • The ability to attach a camera to the waves' surface for bobbing.
  • Displacement mapping for stylistic water behavior and effects.
  • True reflection mapping for matching sky reflections.
