This update adds the ability to create high-resolution web-ready QTVR Object Movies from any JPEGs up to 1024x768. You can build movies from any series of images, even if they weren't created in iStill. Just drag them or their folder to the Object Builder window, then slide the thumbnails around to organize the frames of the movie. Use the realtime feedback controls to preview your object, and when you're ready, click the Build button. iStill does the rest! iStill is a powerful image capture tool for quickly grabbing high quality still frames from an iSight camera, webcam, or any DV camcorder. It features a number of realtime controls over image capture, keyboard shortcuts, and realtime hardware image sharpening. Additionally, iStill features a proprietary image filter that removes digital camera artifacts without sacrificing image quality, and an image capture technology called Deep Scan that allows you to capture a much higher resolution image than your camera is normally capable of. With iStill, your iSight camera, webcam or DV Camcorder can be used to capture text, take high quality still image photos, and now build QuickTimeVR Object Movies. A full-screen mode lets you use your iSight and iBook/PowerBook to see into hard-to-reach places, as a classroom overhead projector, or as a realtime magnifier with image capture. iStill is shareware, and costs $25 to register. You can evaluate it free indefinitely and decide if it lives up to its claims before you buy it. Upon registration, the annoying shareware reminder on launch, and the slightly embarrassing text in the QTVR Movies will go away. iStill requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later, QuickTime 6.4 or later, and is accelerated for AltiVec.
