RezLib unifies disperate resolution switching and display configuration API's from MacOS 9 and MacOS X into a single CFM Carbon library that allows you to quickly and cleanly write display configuration code without a lot of system specific gymnastics. It provides simple API's for gamma fading, resolution and color depth switching, finding out what display modes are available, setting up a VBL callback function, and it is integrated with SwitchRez to let the user seemlessly work with your app to make sure that you game works correctly on his machine. RezLib is very mature and is used in a number of games from shareware to AAA. RezLib is totally free and open source. There are no sticky licensing demands. Created by Ian Ollmann, Ph.D.
