Check your speedThis updater can perform a full restore (as above) as well as an update, which will update the firmware without formatting the iPod, thus keeping all your music. I have use this updater on my 1.20 WinPod to convert to a 1.21 WinPod, I haven't tested the update option on older firmware versions.
Please note that you use this software entirely at your own risk. I have tested the updaters on my own iPod and they have worked fine, but that is the best assurance I can give. If you are having problems then I would suggest trying the Apple technical support forums. I am not in any way affiliated with Apple, and at any time I may be asked to remove these files, so sorry if they have to dissapear!
