Memory Hog eats memory. It allocates memory to itself in "chunks" every second while told to do so. You can start and stop the memory allocation process, and you can reclaim all the used memory back whenever you want.
You could use this tool to flush all other applications out of real RAM, or to test virtual memory performance. It's just something interesting to play with.
