Check your speedOS9 Helper allows you to install Mac OS 9.2.x on Powermac models that Apple has dropped support for. The advantages of having 9.2.x installed include the ability to run the latest versions of Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro, as well as full compatibility with iPod. 9.2.x also is fully compatible with ATI's latest drivers.
To update to 9.2.x, you must have Mac OS 9.1 already installed, and you must download the 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 updaters from Apple. Links are available within the program.
