As you surf the Web, pictures and text are constantly being stored on your hard disk, creating a mirror image of your surfing experience. Browsers create cache files and history lists that store personal information on your computer, creating a trail that others can easily follow to invade your privacy. Most of your other programs and Mac OS itself also keep records of everything you do. SurfSecret is designed to periodically destroy this trail. It can run automatically (every minute, every five minutes, every hour, when you shut down your computer, when you close your web browser, and so on). It clears out your cache, cookie, and history folders on all major browsers, removes the links in your Netscape, Internet Explorer, and AOL toolbars, and deletes AutoComplete data. SurfSecret also cleans out your Trash Can, Temporary Items folder, Recent Documents, Recent Applications, and Recent Servers. SurfSecret has a 3rd party SDK allowing you to expand its cleaning operations, File Shredding capability, and much more. Furthermore, password protection allows SurfSecret to hide in memory so that nobody will know SurfSecret is running.
