3DEM70 freeware for Win95/98/NT will produce three dimensional terrain scenes and flyby animations from a wide variety of freely available data sources including USGS Digitial Elevation Models (DEM) files USGS Spatial Data Transfer Standard (SDTS DEM) files USGS Global 30 Arc Second Elevation Data Set (GTOPO30 DEM) Any elevation data file organized by rows and columns Internally generated mandelbrot and Julia fractals3DEM70 uses the SGI/Microsoft OpenGL libraries for high speed 3D rendering. 3DEM70 will render 16 or 24 bit color three dimensional projections, red-blue projections requiring red-blue 3D glasses for viewing, or color 3D projections requiring Liquid Crystal (LCD) electronic shutter glasses for viewing. 3DEM can also generate VRML worlds for viewing and exploration over the Internet. 3DEM70 provides low resolution Keyboard controls are used to climb, dive, and turn in space above the DEM surface.
