Alpha Blaze is an educational word game for one to four players. The central playing area of Alpha Blaze is the game board, which contains a grid of letters visible to all the players. Each player has a game piece to indicate his position on the board. When a new game is started, letters are randomly placed on the game board. On his turn, a player moves his game piece to adjacent letters to form an English word. Letters are removed from the game board for the rest of the game after a player uses them. There are also "wild" spaces where a player may choose any letter he needs to form a word. Players are awarded points for the length of each word they spell (one point for each letter). As play continues, more and more letters are removed from the game board. The game ends when players can no longer spell words from their positions on the game board, and the player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.
