Hyena 7.3

Date added 17 Jun 2008 Check your speed

Using the built-in Windows administration tools to manage a medium-to-large Windows NT or Windows 2000 network can be a challenge. Hyena is designed to both simplify and centralize nearly all of the day-to-day management tasks, while providing new capabilities for system administration. This functionality is provided in a single, centralized, easy-to-use product. Hyena uses an Explorer-style interface for all operations, including right-mouse-click pop-up context menus for all objects. Management of users, groups (both local and global), shares, domains, computers, services, devices, events, files, printers and print jobs, sessions, open files, disk space, user rights, messaging, exporting, job scheduling, processes, and printing are all supported. Hyena includes extensive support for Active Directory (AD) and its components such as organizational units, universal groups, contacts, flexible AD queries, Exchange 2000 mailbox management, and much more. Per-administrator licensing.

Version 7.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
