The errors include software traps, Runtime errors, General Protection Faults, System lockups and System Crashes, AKA BSOD. Crash and Learn has two modes. A demo mode that replaces the actual error with a safe screen shot of the error. The second mode is a real mode. In this mode the user will create the actual error. The errors are real. The system lockup is real. The BSOD is real. Data can be lost in this mode. It is one thing to read about errors and see screen shots of errors but experiencing the actual error is where the learning begins.
Crash & Learn is an excellent tool for a Computer Basic or an IT curriculum. This module will help support an already established course where a hands on approach to software issues is desired. Some features in the software are disabled. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
