Autoplay Repair 2.2

License Free
Requirements Windows XP, Microsoft .NET Framework 2
Downloads 72 Limitations None
Publisher OrangeBlue File Size 203k
Date added 15 May 2007 Check your speed

This tool has been written to remove corrupted entries from Windows XP's autoplay. The background is that after an uninstallation of several applications like media players, some invalid entries still may remain in Windows XP's autoplay sections. These are visible every time a CD or DVD is put into the drive and the autoplay selection dialog appears. Now with Autoplay Repair it is possible to remove these invalid entries and even create new or modify existing so called autoplay handlers quickly and easily. But this tool can also be used to remove unwanted entries or just to clean Windows XP's autoplay sections for a better overview. In addition to that Autoplay Repair has some other necessary features to offer.

Version 2.2 includes multi Language support giving the user the ability to create his own language files. Completely rewritten Autorun Cleanup section, now it is possible to deactivate/activate single autorun entries. Backup section: Deleted backup files (*.reg) will be moved into Window's recycle bin. Some minor changes.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
