SignalScope is audio signal analysis software designed to work with Mac OS X-compatible audio hardware. It functions as a real-time spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope. Select any audio input device available in Mac OS X and choose from all input signal formats supported by the current audio device. User-definable full-scale voltage allows for calibrated measurements. Select the channel of the audio input device to be used for measurements. Save oscilloscope trace data or spectral data to disk for import into Matlab, Excel, Octave. You can choose from five possible frequency spans, and view spectra with up to 3,200 lines of resolution. It features linear and dB voltage scales, auto and manual scaling of the vertical (voltage) axis, linear and logarithmic frequency scales, a cursor for measuring frequencies and amplitudes within the spectrum, a peak track cursor function, Bartlett, Blackman, Hamming, and Hanning windows, and linear and exponential averaging.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
