Beginning with the method Black/Whitelist mails can be deleted at a very early stage on the basis of nothing but the sender. This is supported by a self-learning function of the Mail Checker. Mail Checkers creates digital fingerprints of suspicious or certain spam. In cooperation with the Spam Public Server of ppedv, rife spam mails soon are identified.
Particular attention is payed to mail attachments and content. Even though modern Outlook versions help to take such measures, a double filter is much safer. Often alternative mail clients without any defence are in use. As well as popConnect, Visendo Mail Checker can retrieve IMAP and POP3 accounts. Even the corresponding SPOP and SIMAP versions are supported. In addition, the server also acts as SMTP gateway/firewall and can check incoming as well as outgoing SMTP traffic.
