AutoSite was developed to help Web developers build file lists rapidly without the need for manual data entry. This tool can be used to create HTML or ASP Web pages that list files on your hard drive. The AutoSite software will go into the directory you specify and list all files contained within it, create links to the subfolders, and list all files in the subfolders by a file extension you specify. The end result is an HTML/ASP table with links to each file and subfolder, rendered automatically by AutoSite.

The pages will contain the necessary HTML/ASP and JavaScript code, so your lists can be sorted and color-coded to distinguish the differences among folders and files. No database is necessary. Features a timer so you can automate creation of the Web pages to make HTML pages more dynamic without using ASP. Dependency files were included in an install package so it will work on most operating systems. Increased error handling has been added.

The fact is: Software developers today are really designers and not coders. The reason that business anlaysts exist today to model solutions is because they understand the value of designing software before writing it. All too often developers create code that has little value because they do not understand that business classes interact with other classes within the confines of a working model or pattern.
