Protect your privacy by cleaning up your browser's cache, cookies, history, typed URLs, index.dat, autocomplete memory, and tracks of past Windows activity. Windows and Internet Cleaner Pro is a very useful program for cleaning up the history of your activities on a computer. Even though many of the tasks can be performed manually, Windows and Internet Cleaner can automate this process for you. The program is designed to protect your privacy by cleaning up unwanted history data and Internet tracks on your computer. It allows you to erase browser cache, cookies, history, visited URLs, typed URLs, autocomplete data, index.dat, temp folders, run history, search history, open/save history, and recent documents. The cookie-cleaning feature allows you to specify cookies to keep, so you don't erase your important login cookies. In addition, you can change the paths of several system folders (History, Favorites, etc.) and customize the IE title bar text. You also can have Windows and Internet Cleaner automatically clean your files when Windows is started or shutdown. Windows and Internet Cleaner implements the U.S. Department of Defense and NSA clearing and sanitizing standard, which gives you confidence that once deleted with Windows and Internet Cleaner, your file data is gone forever and can not be recovered. The application comes with an attractive, Windows XP-style interface and is easy to use.

Version 2.10.2 adds an erase Windows swap file, support for RealOne Player, MSN Messenger, a cleaning action hot key, and fixes some bugs.

In association with Intel
Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
