This tool is yet another Windows Registry repair program where the demo scans, but doesn't repair. Registry Fix It's smart, simple interface is easily mastered. You really have only a couple of functions you'll need to utilize, Scan and Repair. There are some quick links to basic Windows functions, but they're merely window dressing.

Registry Fix It isn't doesn't perform the fastest scan we've seen in the genre, but it is quick. The program doesn't require the full CPU when scanning either. The application scans the full Registry and then your system to find invalid items. After the scan, our testers were less than pleased. Each section the program scans is listed with the number of problems found. It takes just a click to see the detailed lists, but deselecting specific problems isn't possible in the main problem list. With the demo, you can't repair at all.

Registry Fix It promises to make full backups of all items removed, but that's another feature impossible to test when all repair options are disabled. As with most similar programs, this utility could be utilized by any level user. However, without the ability to demo its full claims, most users may find satisfaction elsewhere.

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
