Pop-It Dead is a free pop-up blocker. Not only is it free but it may be one of the best third party blockers on the net. It uses a special event tracking method for IE to make sure it blasts about 99.5 percent of all pop-ups. It was created to remain simple yet block pop-ups powerfully. It even blocks spyware and messenger service pop-ups. You can choose if you want it to run in your start up and be notified when a pop-up is blocked. If you want to allow a pop-up you can hold CTRL or add a URL to the allow list. If you think you have had an important pop up blocked you can find out past blocked window information. Version 2.0 may include ability to allow windows from trusted Web sites. Ability to check windows that have been blocked in the past. Improved the detection of possible pop ups and general blocking has also been improved.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
