PowrClik Lite 2.7 build 99l

License Free
Requirements Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 Server

Publisher Genntt Productions File Size 104k
Date added 24 Jan 2006 Check your speed

This simple utility offers an alternative to initiating shutdown operations, but offers little convenience over the standard Windows' method. PowrClik Lite adds a system-tray icon that offers access to shutdown, logoff, reboot, hibernate, and standby modes. Click the program's icon in the upper left of the menu to find more options that include disconnecting from the network and activating a screensaver. PowrClik Lite doesn't offer a scheduler or other automated shutdown features that would enhance the traditional shutdown methods, nor does it make any of the processes quicker. Anyone can use this basic freeware utility and it costs you nothing to try it, but PowrClik Lite doesn't offer much in the way of added functionality or features to manage shutdown operations.

In association with Intel
Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
