This multifunctional application primarily fine-tunes your system's performance and works by gathering different system settings into one user-friendly program. Its handsome interface is divided in two: one window displays several categories in a directory tree manner; the other is dynamic, its context changing with your selection in the directory tree. Win Tweak Manager lets you change the settings on your Window Accessories, appearance, and desktop. You can also modify settings for your Windows Explorer, file system, boot and shutdown menus, and system. Changing settings by means of either selecting check boxes or populating text boxes with appropriate values will be like a walk in the park for beginners, since every subcategory offers helpful contextual tips. Some changes take effect immediately, but most of the tweaks require a system restart. This application has two downsides: a large download size and the very limited functionality of its trial version. Due to those factors, most users who want to test-drive Win Tweak Manager will be disappointed.

In association with Intel
Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
