This utility is chock-full of features related to international travel, including displays of the time of several cities around the world and currency exchange rates. Globex Pro uses a basic, uninspired Windows-style interface to show a maximum of eight digital clocks and a currency converter. We found the world clock useful, although the demo only allows you to view the current time of 43 cities in 15 countries. You can use the currency exchanger to monitor the current exchange rates; although we found the information dated, you can download updated exchange rates. Other bonus features include currency and country information via the Internet; a measurement converter for metric and English lengths, weights, volumes and temperatures; and an interest calculator for simple interest computations. Though some users will want a larger selection of cities, Globex Pro is a beneficial tool for those with international interests.

In association with Intel
Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
