The platform comprises Stagecast Creator, an application authoring tool, and Stagecast Player, a free runtime player. The Java-based Stagecast Creator has uses in education, forecasting, engineering, and entertainment. Applications can be played on a World Wide Web page, downloaded for local play on Windows and Macintosh computers, or distributed on CD-ROM. They can be delivered in a form that allows customers to make changes and additions. Version 2.0.2 is Windows Vista compatible.
