Easy Slide Show Creator 1.3

Although it lets you quickly and easily design basic slide shows, this program omits a few crucial features and is burdened by an in-your-face trial restriction. Easy Slide Show Creator s main window is well-designed and self-explanatory, though inexperienced users might miss a wizard or tutorial. Adding pictures and music files is a straightforward process, and setting image intervals and toggling between random and sequential display modes is equally painless. Unfortunately, unlike many competing applications, this one won t let you apply transition effects. You will find a tool for adding captions, but the app can t save your show as a screensaver or create an EXE file that you can share with others. The trial version places a watermark on your slide show, which ordinarily wouldn t bother us much. However, this watermark is very large and sits right over the center of your image, obscuring much of the view. Since many more powerful and capable slide-show creators are readily available, we have a hard time getting too excited about this one.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
