Heredis is a powerful, complete and reliable tool which even the novice genealogist will know how to handle. Its extremely intuitive interface is fully adapted for managing genealogical data and integrates perfectly into the Mac OS X environment. Each item of data will find its natural place in the limitless database: civil status, all the events of life, with witnesses, sources and images, addresses, notes and commentaries, personal references, acts to be researched. The program also controls and helps you with the entry of your data: validity of dates, coherence of data, evolution of family names and of place names over the centuries, personalized data entry shortcuts, permanent control of duplicates.

All the information is displayed on one screen only. A simple click or a 'drag & drop' will take you to any of the different members of your family. A permanent r sum displays all the essential information concerning any selected individual.

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
