ActiveCaption is a powerful utility, which adds multi-engine search, pop-up blocking, one-click buttons for your favorite sites and a full-featured bookmark manager to Internet Explorer. Unlike other IE toolbars, ActiveCaption attaches itself to the otherwise unused space on your browser's title bar. ActiveCaption gives you direct access to general search engines like Google and AltaVista as well as specialized search sites like encyclopedias and current news. Programmable "Speed Buttons" work like your car radio presets to give you single click access to the sites you use everyday. The built-in drag-and-drop bookmark manager includes powerful features like multiple bookmark files, exporting bookmarks as HTML and even creating slide shows from your bookmarked sites. The easy-to-use popup-up blocker kills pop-up and pop-under ads as they occur. No advertisement, search sites are completely customizable so you set ActiveCaption to use any search engines you wish.

Featured Talkback

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
