Perfect Score is a simple yet powerful teacher grade book program for Mac OS X. Perfect Score provides all the essentials of a gradebook, including a seating chart with student image support (to help the occassional substitute teacher), a color coded attendance chart, and a score table. In addition, Perfect Score has built-in support for curves, category weightings, custom grade systems, attendance penalties, and drag-and-drop support - so you can drag assignments between documents instead of creating the same assignment over and over again for three different classes.

Version 1.2 fixes a printing problem that would occur only if a teacher name and class name are not set and printing is attempted via the menu items instead of the hotkeys. Added splitviews to both Score and Attendance tabs. Added Advanced Menu for power use functions. Printing and HTML Export headers are now editable under the Advanced Menu. Student Attributes are now customizeable via the Advanced Menu. Student Tabbed Export is now in a slightly new format. Old files are now obsolete. E-mail and Phone # info were switched in the behind-the-scene logic for some reason: this has now been fixed. Notification table now allows you to correctly enable and disable e-mail and logging support. Added Perfect Score Web site link under Perfect Score menu. Added Student E-mailer to Advanced Menu. Students Tab now allows for sorting.

Why do so many (virtually all) software packages think that they are so important that they have to be started automatically every time the computer boots? What is the largest number of "speed access", "update check", "camera download" and whatever other background programs you have ever seen running? Of those, how many did you really need?
