Atalasoft ImgX Controls for Visual Basic and .NET contains a suite of ActiveX controls for viewing and manipulating images, printing, scanning, capturing, and more. The same set of controls can be used for raster, document, and medical imaging. It provides all the tools you need for high-end imaging applications, or for supplementing your existing applications with basic imaging functionality. Major features include runtime royalty-free licensing; a low level C++ imaging library for fast processing; the ability to read images from a file, URL, memory, or DIB; and support of multiple page 1-bit documents with antialiased display capability.

It supports JPEG, PNG, TIFF, TIFF G3/G4 Fax, PCX, TGA, BMP, PSD, PCD, and WMF/EMF file formats. Process images with more than 100 filters, transforms, and effects. It includes 20 resampling methods. You can overlay images with alpha transparency, and draw lines, rectangles, ellipses, and text with a textured background. Create linear and radial gradients and use the gradients as texture for text and shapes. Display and zoom images quickly with a scrollable viewport using the ImgX OCX Control. Control print settings, show dialogs, and print images with the ImgXPrint DLL. It includes a customizable image preview dialog for opening and saving images with the ImgXDialog DLL; Twain support for scanning images with basic and advanced duplex features with the ImgXTwain DLL; and screencapture support with the ImgXCapture DLL. Create rich ActiveX Web imaging with ImgX Controls. It has comprehensive context-sensitive help with examples. ImgX 6.3 now offers double buffering which allows user drawn entities to be painted onto the control without any flickering. Additionally, the BackgroundImage property will now paint the image tiled onto the background of the control and any RGBA images will be merged with that background.

The fact is: Software developers today are really designers and not coders. The reason that business anlaysts exist today to model solutions is because they understand the value of designing software before writing it. All too often developers create code that has little value because they do not understand that business classes interact with other classes within the confines of a working model or pattern.
