From the developer: 1st QuickRes controls display settings, wallpapers, screen savers and color schemes from a convenient system tray icon. Using 1st QuickRes you can switch color depth, resolution and refresh rate on-the-fly, with preview of your changes and options to confirm them or not. While changing desktop size, 1st QuickRes retains positions and sizes of desktop windows and icons. You can define your own favorite display settings with fast access using tray menu or keyboard shortcuts. Pre-built favorites allows you to incrementally enlarge or reduce the desktop size. You may browse screen savers using resizable preview dialog. Any screen saver can be launched, configured, or set as the default directly from the tray menu. Also you can configure options to launch screen saver quickly by double-clicking the tray icon. You have full wallpaper control with 1st QuickRes. You can browse wallpapers in a dialog with preview or switch wallpapers directly from the tray menu. You can create a list o! ! f your favorite JPEG images and set them as wallpapers.

1st QuickRes allows you to preview and switch desktop color schemes. Favorite screen savers, wallpapers and color schemes can be included in the randomize list and later changed randomly every hour or at Windows startup. You may apply custom display settings to any application or document using 1st QuickRes shell extension. You can reorder or hide unnecessary items from the tray menu. 1st QuickRes supports Windows 95/98/NT and Windows 2000.

1st QuickRes Light is a freeware version of 1st QuickRes. Light version has limited screen saver, wallpaper and color scheme support, allows only 3 favorite modes, does not retain desktop windows positions, does not support custom display settings for applications but you can use it endless for FREE!
